A great big highway expansion to serve Dane County Exurbanites: Tearing out a perfectly solid bridge that is less than twenty years into its 75-125 year lifespan, replacing it with a bridge with double the capacity to speed exurban leaches blasting through our neighborhoods.
Everything was supposed to be so different when a lesbian woman got into executive office. Instead, we get landscapes built for well-wheeled, middle aged, white men. (Oh and it is about race: they live out in the Town of Sprawl so their precious little blonde ones won’t have to sit in the same classroom as children with melanin in their skin.)
But hey, the writing was on the wall, since we all knew that during her time as alder, she routinely voted for city budgets that jacked up paving at over ELEVEN TIMES the rate of population growth and inflation combined.We were paying attention to that, right? Right?!
